“We have roughly 100 locations scattered across 1/3 of the state of Iowa. The corporate office is 4 hours from some locations and monitoring 350 PCs with 1 IT guy was causing some extreme challenges. I needed a way to maintain asset information and also was looking for simple deployment. NetSupport

We have had a very good experience with NetSupport Manager in last few years. We have now gone a step ahead having combined it with NetSupport DNA. In the last year we have migrated from text based terminal aplications to client-server application on Windows.
Many of the new applications require require pre-requisites on the PCs, and are often hardware dependent. It was very easy to see where, for instance, computers had insufficient mememory, etc.. That also helps us to better evaluate and manage the total cost for our migration to new applications.

The project objective was to get back control of the installed base of PC's servers and printers. We looked at Microsoft SMS, Tivoli and some smaller names. Most were too big for the problem we had. We chose NetSupport because it offered asset management & software distribution at an affordable price, in a package that required no costly training. Ideal for a medium sized company like ours with multi locations. All new PC's we purchase are managed and controlled using NetSupport DNA. An audit now takes a couple of days instead of 2 weeks out of the office.
By adding DNA to our toolkit we have already been able to upgrade our installed base of PC's based on a wider hardware criteria. We have saved weeks of manual auditing and thousands of miles driven. Instant reports and queries save time and effort, just having control of such a diverse base has saved the cost of the software many times over. We are now in the process of persuading our other European offices to take it on board.

I had the privilege to see a demonstration of NetSupport DNA presented by Jim Rahm back in January 2007 at a Workforce Board Technology meeting in Austin Texas.
I was a little hesitant to try out this product because Mr Rahm made it sound like it was to good to be true. After a few months of reviewing other products that are similar to DNA, I decided to give the DNA 30 day trial a big test to see if it would fit our needs.
After trying this product out, I am ashamed to admit that I was wrong thinking DNA was "to good to be true"! This product does everything much faster, easier and much more efficient just like I have been searching for in other 3rd party software.
The best part I love about this DNA product is that if just 1 workstation out of 400 is having a problem that is 80 miles away from our office, I just find the station in my different groups and with just a simple double click, I'm connected as fast as a snap of my fingers.
After making the connection, I make the repairs and send them on their way back to work without using 2 hours of time and NOT using $3 a gallon of gas to get the job done! Now I can make more trips to the coffee pot without feeling guilty!
Thanks a BUNCH NetSupport for a great product and many thanks to Jim Rahm for leading me down the right path!

NetSupport Manager works great. I have multiple clinic sites with varying needs, the remote management feature works great. I also on occasion need to send out updates/patches to clients. The package distribution and creation tools make the job much simpler.
I also like NetSupport DNA for keeping track of all of my hardware and maintenance/warranty contracts.
We just recently setup the DNA Helpdesk module and it is working out great as well. It will be nice to start keeping accurate track of how long specific support tasks are taking and how many of the same kind we get on a regular basis. The solutions section will be nice as well so that employees can fix an issue on their own as long as we provide proper instructions within the solutions section.

NetSupport DNA inventory management meets our specific ITIL requirements in terms of tracking equipment inventory and associated change and problem management records.
The ease at which we configured the product by far eclipses the features of the other inventory management products we evaluated. Finally, the customisable features really sold us on the product and the reporting features are just in a different league to anything else on the market.

We received the program last week and within that first week we had the server installed and more than 50 client machines connected.
